On the eve of the 200th episode of Later…, Jools Holland announces his much anticipated 2008 Autumn tour. To celebrate his golden 50th birthday, the master of the ivories will embark on a 31 UK date tour alongside his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra heading to Plymouth Pavilions on Saturday 15 November in what will be his most glittering tour yet.
Following his hugely successful sell out tour last year and the release of ‘Best Of Friends’ which stormed the album top 10, Jools Holland’s 2008 UK tour will kick off on 24 October and will see the music maestro returning for a show stopping two nights at London’s majestic Royal Albert Hall. Bringing audiences another taste of his blues and boogie woogie fun, Jools Holland - the hardest working and most prolific British musician, promises a trademark foot-stomping night out.
With guest vocals from Ruby Turner, Louise Marshall and other guests still to be announced, Jools will perform tracks spanning his 11 albums from the past 11 years as well as songs taken from his latest hit album ‘Best Of Friends’ which was released last Autumn. The album includes some of Jools’ most loved collaborations with guests including the late George Harrison, Norah Jones, Tom Jones, Bono and Stereophonics.
