BIG Sheep - BIG Heart
A charity fundraising event held at the BIG Sheep on Bank Holiday Monday raised over £600 bringing the total the family attraction has raised for the community and local charities to just over £50,000 this year!

The Bank Holiday event was staged by Peter Morris, President of Bideford Rotary Club, to help raise funds for Torridge Poverty Action Group and other local charities and Peter is enormously grateful to Rick Turner of the BIG Sheep for the use of the venue. “We had a great Summer Bash in a perfect setting with music provided by local band Zamba and I am grateful to everyone who came along and supported us, especially to Simon and Anna Lacey of Countrylife Brewery who donated their profits from the bar and to Steve Taylor and his family for providing such delicious food. As well as having a great evening the money raised will hopefully make a small difference to some of the most vulnerable in our community.

Rick Turner of the BIG Sheep said, “I am delighted the event was so successful and that we were able to contribute to its success. We have always been committed to supporting the community because it is the community who support us so it is always nice to give something back”.

If you would like to stage an event at the BIG Sheep to raise money for your favorite charity all you need to do is contact Anne Tattersall on 01237 472366 for a chat. “Our charity events vary enormously from Car Roots Sales for The Tree Foundation to a Harry Potter event which we hosted jointly with Walter Henry Books of Bideford for the Children’s Hospice Southwest. Our next exciting charity event is a Chocolate Festival on Sunday 23rd September to raise money for CLIC, the charity which cares for children and young people with cancer. I would love to hear from people in the community who have an interesting fundraising event they would like to stage here and people can be as creative as they like in their thinking”.
