Bubble Mania in Bideford
BIG bubbles, square bubbles, caterpillar bubbles, wiggly worm bubbles and sheep bubbles are just some of the bubbles which will be floating around the BIG Sheep, in Bideford on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th September when the famous fun family attraction host the UK’s first ever Bubble Festival.
Under the expert guidance of our resident bubbleologist, Dr. Bubble, children and adults to the Bubble Festival can become scientists for the day as they experiment with different soap solutions, see how to put bubbles inside of bubbles, make bubble towers and be as innovative as they like once they grasp the process of bubble making.
There are so many wild and wacky things you can do with ordinary dish soap and Dr. Bubble will be creating bouncing bubbles, trampoline bubbles and magic round-a-bout bubbles. The resident doctor will also be making a guest appearance at our Sheep Show when he will surround a sheep with a bubble!
The highlight of the Festival will be when Dr. Bubble attempts to break his record of enveloping 28 people in a massive bubble and he is confident he can break his record and hopefully capture at least 30 people in his giant bubble. “Bubbles are important to processes in scientific fields as diverse as geophysics, chemistry and physics and children can learn so much by experimenting in a fun way with bubbles”, says Dr. Bubble and adds, “Anyone can make their own bubble solution and create their own bubbles and I am looking forward to sharing some of my secrets with visitors to the BIG Sheep”.
Families visiting the BIG Sheep during the Festival will be given a free bottle of bubbles per family so they can blow bubbles all the way home.
