Places to Stay and Hotels in Gloucester
Gloucester is the county town of Gloucestershire. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside with the Forest of Dean, the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds all close by.
There are lots of different styles of Hotels to stay at in the area. Here are a selection of five of them.
1 Country House Hotel
The Macdonald Hatherley Manor located to the North East of Gloucester is set in 35 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside. Built in the 17th century it has been extended to turn it into a beautiful 52 bedroom hotel.
The main restaurant at the hotel is the Dewinton Restaurant acclaimed for its fine cuisine and wine list. Lighter meals are available in The Stables Bar.
2 Regency Elegance
Ramada Bowden Hall is built in a regency style and is also just outside Gloucester in the village of Upton St Leonards. The hotel is ideal for leisure breaks with a pool, sauna and spa pool.
Days out could include a trip to the Slimbridge Nature Reserve or, for the more adventureous, you could walk and swing high above the trees at the Forest of Dean Go Ape venue.
