Five Things to Do and Tourist Attractions in Gloucestershire
Visit Gloucestershire and you are visiting one of the most attractive counties in England. The county includes the ancient Forest of Dean, part of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the flat fertile valley of the River Severn.

The five selected things to do in Gloucestershire range from a visit to the theatre to swinging on ropes high up in the trees with Go Ape.

1 Historic Houses

Gloucestershire has no shortage of fine historic homes and gardens. Berkeley Castle has been a home for the Berkeley family since 1117. Its estate is over 6000 acres in size and it has an outstanding medieval deer park. The centre piece of the castle is the Great Hall in which, through the ages, Kings and Queens have dined.
