3 Wimborne Minster Model Town

This model town was built over 50 years ago and is a fantastically detailed replica of the historic market town of Wimborne Minster exactly as it was in the 1950s. The attention to detail is outstanding. You can look even look into the windows of the shops and examine the window displays. To take a really impressive virtual tour of the model town click on Virtual Tour on their website – www.wimborne-modeltown.com.

There is also a children’s play area, a putting lawn and a model railway.

4 Go Ape

This is one of the most exciting things to do in the Dorset area. It is a fantastic family activity – with a minimum age limit of 10 years old. Go Ape is an ward-winning high wire forest adventure course of Tarzan Swings, zip slides and rope bridges up to 40 feet up amongst the trees. Everyone is fitted with a safety harness and given instruction and can then trek from tree to tree high above the forest floor.

4 Blue Line Cruises

With such a beautiful coastline Poole is the ideal location from which to run sea trips for tourists. From Poole you can take one of the scheduled cruises. These are one hour cruises during which you can see the white cliffs of the Isle of Wight, Sandbanks, Brownsea Castle, Brownsea Island, Shell Bay and the Old Harry Rocks.

If you would prefer evening entertainment, then join one of the Firework Cruises to view the fireworks at either Sandbanks or Bournemouth.

Day excursions to Swanage are also availble.
