Hotels and Places to Stay in Birmingham
Birmingham is a busy metropolitan city with a population of just over a million people. In terms of size it is second in the UK with London being the largest.

Being in the heart of the country, Birmingham is ideally located for holding exhibitions and conferences. The National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham is the busiest exhibition centre in Europe. It hosts over 180 exhibitions each year including major public shows such as the ClothesShow and Crufts Dogshow. International trade exhibitions include Spring Fair, Birmingham and IPEX. These exhibitions attract up to 4 million visitors per year.

Birmingham is not, however, just about trade. It is a vibrant city with many attractions for tourists including the new Bullring shopping centre, Birmingham Zoo and the popular Jewellery Quarter home to both retail and wholesale jewellers close to the centre of the city.

If you prefer a more homely environment, there is a good choice of guest houses and other places to stay in the Birmingham area. The Aston Hotel has 14 rooms with en-suite facilities. There is a restaurant and pub on-site. The pub has excellent live entertainment.

Car parking is available and the hotel is located near the Witten railway station.

Middleton Hall is a family run guest house with 9 rooms about 5 miles outside the city centre. It is close the M42 and provides convenient access to the NIA, NEC, ICC and Birmingham International Airport. Car parking is available.

The Caricom Caribbean is both a guest house and a restaurant. The guest house offers budget priced accommodation with en-suite facilities. All rooms have coffee and tea making facilities and a television. Single or twin/double rooms are available.

The Caricom restaurant serves food from around the islands in the Caribbean and offers a “Taste of Paradise.” The restaurant closes early on Sunday.
