Hotels and Places to Stay in Southampton
Based on the South Coast, Southampton is within easy reach of London. It is a major cruise port with regular sailings from the docks. If you are heading to the WestQuay Shopping Centre, it is always worth taking a moment to see which of the big ships are in the port. If you are off on a cruise the ideal location is the Holiday Inn – Southampton. Arrangements can be made to leave your car at the hotel during your cruise.

This hotel is also convenient for the Isle of Wight ferry and WestQuay shopping centre.

For easy access to the airport, there are two options. There is the Holiday Inn just off Junction 13 of the M3 and Express by Holiday Inn off Junction 7 of the M27. For cricket fans, choose the Express – it is adjacent to The Rosebowl – home of Hampshire cricket.

The fourth Holiday Inn Hotel in Southampton is the Express at Junction 1 of the M271 (off Junction 3 of the M27). The rooms in this hotel are contemporary in design and are large enough for a family of two children and two adults.

Strawberry Cottage is a family run bed and breakfast in the Hedge End area of Southampton whose owners pride themselves on providing a friendly welcome. The cottage nestles in the garden of a Grade II listed Tudor Manor house.
