Mary King's Ghost Fest 2007 - Edinburgh

In contrast the Mary King’s Ghost Fest offers the chance to explore the darker side of Edinburgh. This award winning and hugely popular award winning paranormal festival returns to Edinburgh from Friday 11 May to Sunday 20 May 2007.
This unique festival aims to uncover and explore more about the strange paranormal activity and dark tales for which Edinburgh is renowned across the World. Events take place at some of Edinburgh’s most unusual locations including Mary King’s Close. Mary King lived just off the Royal Mile in one of the close until her death in 1644. The Close was preserved when, in 1853, the City Chambers were built over the site. It is now a fascinating and ward winning visitor attraction.

- Ground breaking scientific research into haunting experiences with Most Haunted parapsychologist, Dr Ciaran O’Keeffe, and Steve Parsons. They will investigate whether haunting experiences are really inexplicable phenomenon or whether infrasound (low level sound waves) could be responsible.

- GhostBus tours through darkest, deepest Midlothian to Crichton Castle, Temple Graveyard, and Rosslyn Chapel.
- A ghoulish quiz at the famous Frankenstein pub.
- Screening of cult horror films including The Innocents and Poltergeist.
