Hotels and Places to Stay in Oxford
Oxford is home to one of the finest Universities in the World. Its impressive College buildings dominate the centre of the city and attract tourists and visitors from the four corners of the globe. Click on the link for information on things to do in Oxford and the Cotswolds.
Many of the hotels and places to stay in Oxford are located in beautiful historic buildings in the heart of the City. The most famous of these hotels is the Macdonald Randolph Hotel on Beaumont Street. Secure one of the coverted window seats in its main dining room and watch the world go by.
The hotel is close to Cornmarket and Oxford’s central shopping area. Just along from The Randolph on Beaumont Street is The Playhouse with a range of productions attracting visitors and local residents. The world renown Ashmolean Museum is opposite the hotel.

The hotel was originally a 17th Century coaching inn. It is close to a number of colleges including Magdalen College, St Edmund Hall, University College and The Queen’s College.
The Victoria House Hotel is another place to stay in the centre of Oxford. It is on George Street – a popular area with a good choice of restaurants. It is close to the main shopping area of the city. All rooms at the Victoria House Hotel have en-suite facilities and there is a choice of three styles of breakfast.
The Express by Holiday Inn, Oxford is a purpose built hotel at the Oxford Kassam Stadium. The hotel is easily accessible from the M4 and M40 and is about 20 minutes drive away from the city centre.
Parking is free at the hotel which is next to the Quadrangle Conference Centre.
The Holiday Inn is on the North side of Oxford with convenient access into the city centre via the Park and Ride bus service. The hotel’s Spirit health club is available to guests at the hotel. There is a large gym, large heated swimming poll and spa and beauty therapies can be booked.
The hotel has a purpose built conference centre.
