Places to Eat in Brighton
Brighton in East Sussex is one of the most popular coastal holiday destinations in the UK. It is renowned for its pebbly beach, marina, political conferences and events.

With a large number of tourists, business executives and locals all looking for places to eat Brighton has lots of restaurants from which to choose. Whether you are looking for fine dining, traditional Italian pasta and pizza, genuine Australian tucker or al fresco dining this guide will have something for you.

The Seven Dials Restaurant has built up an outstanding reputation for fine dining since it opened in 2001. It has 2 AA Rosettes, has been included in the Good Food Guide, Harden's and Time Out Guide to Eating to Drinking. It has received wonderful reviews from acclaimed critics including Jay Rayner, The Observer and Caroline Stacey, The Independent Magazine.

The food is modern European made from the freshest seasonal ingredients. The menu changes every six weeks. Lunch and dinner are available with a Fast Track Lunch Menu available if you are in a hurry.

As well as the impressive main dining area, which is located within a former Lloyd’s Bank building, there is a funky private dining room called the Vault. This is available for parties up to 20.

The Regency Restaurant, BrightonWalking along the beach you are find The Regency Restaurant, one of the oldest and most popular seafront restaurants in Brighton. Since the 1930s it has been maintained its reputation for quality and value for money. Portions are generous and there are many fish and seafood options regularly on the menu including fish soup, grilled sardines appetizer, cod & chips, grilled whole plaice, deep fried calamari and moules marinere.

Walkabout Australian themed bar, BrightonFor a pub with a difference then out to West Street (only 5 minutes walk from the railway station) to Walkabout. In this Australian themed bar, you will find genuine Aussie food including crocodile and kangaroo fillets which you can wash down with Australian beer.

Walkabout is a fantastic venue for sports fans. Big screens and dozens of TVs in the bar give the chance to keep up with the latest action in your favourite sport.

The Holiday Inn, BrightonThe Holiday Inn, Brighton-Seafront in Brighton is superbly located on the seafront.

There is a terrace overlooking the sea. It is ideal for sitting out and enjoying fresh air dining and evening cocktails. The Holiday Inn is the only hotel in Brighton to offer outdoor breakfast!

The Garden Room Restaurant at the Holiday Inn hotel in Brighton is open for breakfast and dinner and there is a choice of menu or buffet dining. Food is available all day from The Terrace Bar.

When you have finished eating, there are plenty of things to do in Brighton. Visit the historic Lanes area with its jewellery and antique shops or enjoy one of the many events and festivals to which Brighton plays host.

Two of the most successful regular events are The Brighton Festival and the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton bike ride.

The Brighton Festival is the largest multi-form arts festival in England with over 500,000 people attending events in 2006.

The London to Brighton bike ride started in 1980 and, by the end of 2006, had raised more than £35 million for the BHF and attracted around 700,000 riders.
