Description
For five hundred years the historic Athelhampton House and its gardens and estate have been in private ownership.
For the last three generations this Dorset house has been owned by the Cooke family and Patrick & Andrea Cooke now run Athelhampton. They have managed much of the improvement and restoration which can be seen by today’s visitors.
One of the popular attractions at Athelhampton is the Gallery which is at the top of the West Wing where works of art by the artist Marevna (full name Maria Marevna Vorobyev) are displayed.
There is a range of facilities available for visitors including the gift shop and the Topiary Restaurant which provides informal lunches and a carvery on Sunday.
Wedding ceremonies, receptions, private dinners and conferences can be organised at the House.
